    Safety and Security

The Foxridge Board Of Directors would like all residents of FoxRidge to be aware of the happenings in and around their homes. We are advising all residents who witness questionable activities within the community to contact the police at the non-emergency phone number, 703-771-4500. Programming this phone number into your cell phone could be very useful for such occasions. Also, please let a Board Member or Virginia Hayes at PMP know if you have contacted the police so they are aware of the situation.

    Trash

If you throw out trash and the sanitation department does not remove all waste, such as broken glass, non-compliant material, etc. please clean up the debris from the streets and sidewalks. Owners are responsible for removing litter on their property as well as ensuring that windblown trash and litter does not originate from their property. Trashcans and recycle bins should be placed outside after pm the day prior to the collection day and removed by 7pm the day of collection.  Trash containers are also to be kept in an inconspicuous location out of the community view when stowed. They cannot be stowed in front of your house.Voluntary cleanup of the common area as well as private property is encouraged.

    Landscaping

If you have trees that overhang the sidewalks, please ensure that you can safely walk underneath the limbs. There are many trees in the neighborhood that are in dire need of a trimming. The Town of Leesburg will not dispose of tree stumps and shrubs, so you must take them to the County Landfill located on Evergreen Mill Road. A small fee applies. Homeowners are responsible for ensuring that their lot is mowed regularly and neatly maintained throughout the growing season. When mowing your yard, please sweep up the clippings from your pipe stem, driveway and sidewalk. Overgrown or neglected lawns and/or trees and shrubbery may be subject to Association mandated maintenance at the Owner's expense or by the Town of Leesburg.

    Changes to your Property

Just a reminder that many changes to structure, color, landscaping or appearance of any property within the FoxRidge community must first gain approval from the Architectural Review Board, prior to work commencement. Please review your Architectural Standards and Guidelines for specific details. The Architectural Change Request form can be downloaded from the Files section of our website or requested from PMP.

    Architectural Guidelines

The Architectural Guidelines have been Amended to include Solar, Composting, and Water collection. Please Review them by going into the document center/Architectural Guidelines of this website.

     Save Energy!

    The Green Scene

Save Energy and help prevent Break-ins while you are away!

Going away for a long vacation this summer? Here are some tips to help you save on your energy bills and keep your home safe from potential break-ins.

    ·        Ask a trusted neighbor to check on your house and collect your mail or have the post office hold your mail until you return. An overflowing mailbox is a red flag to thieves that no one is home.

    ·        Turn off or turn back you heating and cooling systems and water heater. Why waste energy heating or cooling your home or keeping water hot while you are away?

    ·        If you are planning to be away for an extended time, consider cutting off your water supply at the main valve. Broken pips happen and if you aren't home, the damage can be devastating.

    ·        Close the drapes and curtains to make it difficult for thieves to see inside your home.

    ·        Turn off most of the lights, except a few that you plug into timers. By using a timer to turn some lights on after dark, your home will look occupied.

    • Plug a radio into a timer so it will come off and on during the day and evening. The sound will make thieve think twice about breaking in.
